The hotel offers beautiful rooms with direct access to the pool and the beach, although some rooms had a strong smell of urine, which was overwhelming. The location is in a quiet area of Koh Chang, but the hotel bar played loud music. The dining experience varied in quality, and the prices were mixed.
The hotel rooms looked very similar to the pictures but need refurbishment and upgrading as they appear a bit scuffed up. On the bright side, the bathroom was better, though it was really dirty. The service, although attentive, tends to forget to refill certain daily amenities and can be a bit overwhelming with constant order inquiries. The location, although situated on a beautiful Thai island within a lovely resort, may prove difficult and dangerous to reach, being far from the center and conveniences. The dining experience offers a good mix of Asian and Western food with freshly cooked options and affordable prices. The facilities are well-maintained, but the loud Thai version English music from the hotel bar can be irritating.
I was pleasantly surprised by the swim-up pool in the room, making the stay extra relaxing. The breakfast was delicious and the room was comfortable, although some minor maintenance issues need attention.
